Marconi Union’s music straddles artistic credibility and musical accessibility.  Over the course of six critically acclaimed albums as well as collaborations and side projects  Marconi Union have refined their distinct brand of “widescreen electronica” and steadily built a worldwide audience. Their music has accompanied art installations, theatre and ballet, and been featured in television commercials, drama and documentary films worldwide.

In 2011 Marconi Union were asked to create a piece of music for a viral internet campaign, the resulting track, ‘Weightless’ became an internet phenomenon attracting several million viewings on youtube and led to MU being named as one of the Inventors of the Year in Time Magazine.

MU’s latest album, ‘Different Colours’ showcases a more soulful side to their music, combining  warm melodic arrangements and a narcotic haze. ‘Different Colours’ is their first album to feature the talents of new recruit Duncan Meadows on piano and is already being described by critics as their best record yet, undoubtedly, it is another step on a singular journey.
