Punkt 08 is over

... and Punkt 09 is scheduled for 3-5 September. Further info about this years festival will be published shortly. For questions, suggestions, booking etc, please send a mail to post@punktfestival.no. In the meantime, here`s info about what happened in 2008: After a successful Punkt 08 in Kristiansand, where Brian Eno and Jon Hassell were among the artists, Punkt visited London`s Kings Place for 3 days of concerts and Live Remixes on 20-22 November.

The London visit was a great experience, and John L. Walters of The Guardian wrote the following: "One of the best moments came when Arve Henriksen (trumpet) and Erik Honoré (laptop) created a remix for a Punkt UK night at Kings Place.

With gorgeous, saturated colour visuals by Russell Mills, the duo conjured up an equally beautiful and individual statement - it seemed like the music the venue was built for. (...) Henriksen`s audience witnessed a cool, sustainable future: hi-tech yet deeply touching." Regarding Punkt 08 in Kristiansand, you can read Fredrik Wandrup`s very positive evaluation in Dagbladet by clicking here (Norwegian only).0
